Spiral staircases

Audio file

As we mentioned at the beginning, we are in a majestic historic building, where some architectural details stand out, which we don't want to overlook.

The first is the ceiling, constructed with semicircular arches in granite ashlar, as well as its groin vaults made of brick, which give this museum space a welcoming and unusual appearance.

The second outstanding architectural element of this building is the curious double-flight spiral staircase. It is a unique example that connects both rooms of the museum and also ascends to the terrace. It is possible for one person to ascend on one side and another to descend on the other without them ever crossing paths.
