Modern winemaking. Industrial wineries.

Audio file

Continuing our tour, we now enter the section of the exhibition dedicated to industrial wineries. These must primarily meet one essential parameter: cleanliness.

Wine is a living product that easily absorbs aromas and flavors that are not its own. That is why stainless steel is primarily used in wine production today. Both fermentation vats and storage tanks are made of this aseptic and easy-to-clean material.

For this reason, many of the displays in this area of the museum resemble the steel tanks of an industrial winery.

Next, we find a statistical system, presented in bar charts, showing the production of kilograms of vinified grapes and liters of wine in recent years for our region, the Condado do Tea.

In the following display case, we have wineries from the Condado do Tea subzone, which are part of the Rías Baixas D.O. (Designation of Origin).

If we turn around, we can see a map showing the municipalities and parishes belonging to the "O Condado do Tea" region of the Rías Baixas Designation of Origin. This display also provides more information on each of the 40 wineries in our area that fall within the aforementioned DO. This information includes details about the municipality where the winery is located, the brands it produces, and a brief description of its wines and vineyards.

Next, we find a series of screens showing a video with practical tips on how and with what to taste our Albariño and Condado do Tea wines, as well as the ideal temperature for storing and serving them to best appreciate all their organoleptic nuances.
