Ethnography

Audio file

At the back, we find antique tools and implements for cultivating vines, donated by local residents. First, there is a Roman plow with two shafts, designed for a single animal and used to make furrows in the soil. Next to it is a moldboard plow, used for tilling the land (the equivalent of digging today).

We can also see a cartwheel or yokes used by oxen or cows, as well as a copper machine for applying treatments to the vineyards. Near the wall, we find a beam, a piece from an old wine press, essential for pressing the grapes.
