Wine Science Museum of the Condado do Tea of Salvaterra de Miño

Audio file

Welcome to the Wine Science Museum of Condado do Tea in Salvaterra de Miño, a highly interactive museum and one of the largest educational spaces dedicated to viticulture and oenology in Spain.

Located within the Salvaterra Fortress and inside the Castle of Doña Urraca, this building takes its name from the first queen of Galicia, who in the early 12th century spent long periods there, seeking refuge from her enemies. However, the modern appearance of the building, as well as the surrounding fortified enclosure, dates from the 17th century as a result of a Portuguese occupation.
